Stress & Burnout Therapy in Ontario: Learn When to Stop
Online therapy for stress and burnout in Toronto, Mississauga and across Ontario. For when you're running on empty and can't see where to slow down.
We hear this a lot. You're extremely tired, and you don't want to feel this way anymore. But every time you try to slow down, there's another deadline, another person who needs you, another thing you "should" be doing.
You don't have to keep pushing through on your own.

People in their 30s trying to balance work, home, children and a partner, and feeling like there's nothing left for themselves
Anyone whose mind feels cluttered and who just needs space to sort through it all

When you feel like you have to hold everything together
For many of our South Asian clients, stress comes from the belief that you have to be able to balance everything: a successful career, time for family, friends and extended family, finding a spouse, settling down, and making sure your in-laws are happy.
Maybe you're the eldest daughter. Maybe your parents have always put pressure on you to succeed in every part of your life. A lot of the time, it feels like you don't have a choice. We understand, because we've lived it too. And we want you to know that doing it all isn't a realistic expectation for anyone.
How we work with burnout
First, we try to understand why you've entered burnout and what the situation looks like. Then we look at what's being affected the most, and work on it together:
Productivity. If you're getting less done, we look at what productivity actually needs to look like for you.
Your body. Headaches, fatigue and insomnia are signals. We explore what slowing down could look like.
Your relationships. If you feel detached from the people around you, we look at why, how to lean on them for support, and how to set boundaries.
The "shoulds." Feeling like a failure often comes from "I should be able to do everything." That's a rule you've created, and we work on changing it.
Decisions. When everything feels urgent, we ask: is there really pressure to decide right now? Can we slow down and figure out what you really want?
Focus. If you're escaping into scrolling or other distractions, we sit with the urge to avoid and figure out what you actually need in that moment.
We may use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help with reframing thoughts: identify the unhelpful thought, cognitive Restructuring, stress management and more
Learning not to neglect your own needs
Communicating in healthier ways, so stress from work doesn't land on your partner
Better emotional regulation
What we work toward together
Naming the problem clearly and finding solutions that work
Reconnecting with your values, and asking whether running on overdrive is really how you want to live
