Affordable Therapy in Ontario: Sliding-Scale Fees
We believe therapy should be affordable for everyone. Your mental health matters, and cost shouldn't be the thing that stands in the way.
Why we offer a sliding scale?
Mental health is too important to have barriers in front of it. That's why every therapist on our team offers a sliding scale.
We know therapy is an investment, and we know life gets expensive. Whether you're a student, new to Canada, on maternity leave, or your benefits only cover a little, we want you to be able to get support, and to keep getting it.
There's no shame in asking
A lot of people feel embarrassed asking about a lower fee. Please don't. We get it, and there's no judgment here.
Honestly, we're just happy you're reaching out. Asking about the sliding scale tells us you want to take care of yourself, and that's exactly why we're here.
What do I need to know about sliding scale
Book your free 15-minute consult. Let your therapist know you'd like to talk about the sliding scale.
Decide on a number together. You and your therapist will agree on a fee that makes sense for you.
Start your sessions. That's it.
How it works
Have insurance? You can still ask
Many benefit plans cover only a few sessions a year. When the money runs out, a lot of people stop coming, or only come once in a while.
A reduced rate can help you come more consistently, which is often when therapy makes the biggest difference. If your coverage is small, ask about the sliding scale too. We provide receipts for every session so you can claim what your plan covers. Learn more about insurance
